Keep Quiet is a campaign designed to raise awareness of victim blaming, a toxic and harmful element of society that projects an outsiders misconceptions onto a victim, particularly those who were sexually abused. No one is asking for assault. Everyone deserves to be heard. Keep Quiet is intended to address people who would project fault rather than listen to survivors of assault.
Using extended and condensed type slows the reader down, so they have time to process what they’re reading and understand the issue from another perspective. The black, white, and red color palette emphasizes that there is no grey area in terms of who is at fault, the attacker is the only one who should be punished, and there is no excuse for thinking the survivor was asking for it. The series is successful because it serves as a stark reminder to victims that they deserve to be heard and listened to, and others need to listen without blame.
